About the role: Provide one-on-one interactions with food bank clients who are in need of weekly food support. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old up!

Responsibilities: 

• Distributing a specific amount of food to each client
• Creating a safe and welcoming environment for clients
• Assisting team with restocking and cardboard breakdown
• Setting up and taking down the event

Onsite Expectation:

• Refreshments are provided during your shift. A fridge, microwave and kettle are accessible
• Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing must be worn during the shift. Please dress according to the weather and bring layers

Required skills:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Have communication skills
• Ability to stand in a period of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs
• Customer service experience is an asset but not needed
