The answers to these and many other questions will be found in this informative and interactive workshop. We will follow English from its beginnings in Northern Germany onwards through events like the Norman Conquest and the Great Vowel Shift, ending with a survey of the diverse global Englishes that continue to make it a fascinatingly dynamic language in the present.
This workshop is intended for students at levels I3 +. It will be at 540 Seymour, room 206
