Meet Brenda Denbesten: Inspiring Change and Inclusivity in Male-Dominated Industries

Brenda Denbesten is a transformative leader, speaker, and advocate for women in male-dominated industries. With over a decade of experience in operations management and engineering roles across industries like mining, manufacturing, and construction, she has pioneered efforts to create inclusive work environments where diverse talent thrives. Brenda’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom—through her coaching business, she has empowered mid-career women to navigate the unique challenges of high-stress industries and rise to leadership roles.

As the chair of the Intersectionality Advisory Committee for the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO), Brenda has actively championed gender equity and the advancement of underrepresented groups. With 80 percent of her mentees and clients securing promotions and leadership roles, her work demonstrates the power of mentorship and advocacy in breaking down barriers.

Brenda is a bestselling coauthor of “The FIFO wives tales”  and “Secrets of the Construction Industry” which help professionals get ahead in these spaces. Her upcoming book focuses on helping women in remote, high-pressure fields turn challenges into opportunities.
